The Story
Yale University, a prestigious Ivy League institution, boasts a rich history dating back to the early 18th century. Founded in 1701 as the Collegiate School, it was established to educate Congregationalist ministers. The university later became Yale College in 1718, named in honor of a significant donation by Welsh merchant Elihu Yale. Yale has since grown into a globally recognized university with a broad range of academic disciplines and a strong tradition of research and scholarship.
